Sporting a hybrid tweeter module and a low-loss, 6½ wood fibre driver, the compact RUBICON LCR delivers wide dynamic range and a bass response that 39;s unrivalled in its class. And with its rotatable hybrid tweeter module, the LCR delivers a dazzling performance as a Left, Centre or Right-channel speaker. PATENTED SMC Reducing distortion with Soft Magnetic Compound The RUBICON LCR draws on the heritage from the SMC-based 39;Linear Drive System 39;, introduced with the EPICON series. With SMC, we achieve extremely low distortion and maximise detail, even at low volume. The drivers are manufactured in-house at our production facilities in central Denmark and feature the latest in magnet motor technology. The RUBICON LCR sets new audio quality standards for Hi-Fi lovers around the world. DALI HYBRID TWEETER The master of wide dispersion The DALI hybrid tweeter module makes use of a soft dome tweeter and a ribbon element, working together to create an amazing rendition of the high frequencies. The voice-coil used in the RUBICON LCR soft dome is extremely light and agile, helping it deliver a broader bandwidth. The ribbon tweeter is the master of wide dispersion and, in combination with the soft dome, reaches as low as 2.5 kHz, providing continuous wide dispersion as the soft dome becomes more directional at higher frequencies. This extreme bandwidth combined with the ultra-wide dispersion is an important part of the DALI sound philosophy. 6½ WOOFER Drawing on technologies from our EPICON series The woofer cone has a light, rigid and randomly uneven structure, which lowers the complexity of the central part of the motor, ensures piston-like movement, significantly reduces the possibility of surface resonance and minimises distortion. Designed specifically for the RUBICON LCR, the soft, low-loss rubber surround includes a cast-aluminium chassis designed for maximum airflow around the cone and magnet system. COMPACT CABINET Delivering richly defined detail and big bass response Featuring the same hybrid tweeter and low-loss wood fibre driver as our floorstanding RUBICON speakers, the LCR also includes an ingenious bass port configuration built into the back panel. Using the wall surface to extend its acoustic properties, the speaker delivers such unrivalled bass response that there 39;s no need to add a subwoofer to your setup.
